Brighton v Crystal Palace team line-ups: Eagles academy keeper makes Premier League debut and forward returns to starting 11
Joe Whitworth will make his Crystal Palace and Premier League debut tonight against Brighton & Hove Albion.
The 19-year-old, who penned a new long-term contract, comes in for Vicente Guaita, who has a hamstring injury.
Whitworth has been named on the bench nine times this season in the Premier League for the Eagles.
Fellow academy stopper Owen Goodman has been named on the bench, with other first-team keeper Sam Johnstone also sidelined through injury.
Patrick Vieira has made two other changes to his starting 11, with Cheick Doucoure replacing Luka Milivojevic and Odsonne Edouard coming in for Jordan Ayew.
The Eagles are 12th in the Premier League and without a win in 2023. Brighton are seventh and looking to close the gap to the Champions League spot
