Cardiff boss Morison: My players need to show belief at Millwall
Steve Morison has urged his Cardiff City players to keep backing themselves ahead of Saturday’s trip to Millwall.
The former Lions striker has seen his side score just one goal in their last four Championship matches, taking two points in the process.
Morison is not the only ex-Lion heading back to SE16. Mahlon Romeo, who has started all seven of their league matches since a summer switch from the South Londoners, is expected to be involved.
Cardiff lost 2-1 at home to Luton on Tuesday.
Morison said: “We’re a work in progress, we knew there were going to be ups and downs.
“If we play like that, and keep dominating all aspects of the pitch, which we did – possession, shots, stopping their shots, expected goals, whatever you want to talk about, we were the dominant team in all of that.
“Ultimately, we’ve let ourselves down from a set-piece and a cross, which is something we have to be better at. It’s about being patient and keeping the belief.”
This is the second time Morison will bring Cardiff to The Den. Murray Wallace and Mason Bennett scored in a 2-1 win for Millwall in February.
