Champions League side ‘enquire’ for Wilf Zaha as Palace set contract decision deadline
Atletico Madrid have reportedly enquired about signing Wilfried Zaha on a free contract with the forward’s deal at Crystal Palace set to expire.
The Eagles have offered Zaha a new £200,000 deal. However, the Daily Mail are reporting that the 30-year-old has been given a deadline by the South Londoners – the end of June – to decide whether he will sign the improved contract at Selhurst Park.
Atletico boss Diego Simeone tried to sign Zaha – Palace’s top goalscorer in the club’s Premier League history – in 2020.
Zaha also has offers from Qatar and Saudi Arabia.
Atletico, who finished third in La Liga, have qualified for next season’s Champions League. They finished 11 points behind league winners Barcelona.
Zaha suffered a hamstring injury in Palace’s 2-0 win over Bournemouth in May.
