Charlie Barker and Aaron Henry will be part of Charlton squad for Bristol Rovers match
Youngsters Aaron Henry and Charlie Barker will be part of Charlton’s squad for Saturday’s League One encounter at Bristol Rovers.
The Addicks have Jason Pearce and Darren Pratley suspended with the former dismissed for two bookable offences in Tuesday’s 4-4 draw with Rochdale.
Akin Famewo, Ryan Inniss, Ben Watson and Marcus Maddison are all sidelined due to injury.
Barker played at right-back in the opening weeks of the campaign before Charlton emerged from their transfer embargo and were able to strengthen their squad.
The young duo both penned contract extensions earlier in the season.
Bowyer said: “Aaron Henry and Charlie Barker will be travelling with us at the weekend, because we’re low in midfield and the centre-half position.
“They were meant to train with us today but they can’t [because of the pitches being waterlogged].”
