Edwards’ skills proved too slick as he picked up the domestic belt on a unanimous points decision. Judges Steve Gray and Victor Loughlin saw it 117-110 in his favour with Marcus McDonnell scoring it 118-109.

The South Londoner moved his record to 14-0, with four of those stoppages.

Welling’s Archie Sharp retained his WBO European super-featherweight title with a wide points win over Artjoms Ramlavs.

He won by scores of 100-88, 96-92 and 98-90. Sharp improved his record to 18-0.

Battersea welterweight Denzel Bentley picked up his 10th inside the distance victory to move to 12-0. He halted journeyman Adam Grabiec in the second round.

Streatham super-bantamweight Chris Bourke moved to 6-0 with his fifth stoppage win. He halted Louis Norman (14-7-1).
