Charlton add National League side to pre-season schedule

Charlton Athletic will face National League side Wealdstone in their pre-season schedule ahead of the 2023-24 campaign.

The game will take place at Grosvenor Vale on July 22.

Wealdstone won promotion to the National League last season.

The Addicks had been due to play Luton Town. However, after the Hatters were promoted to the Premier League via the Championship play-offs, their return dates were changed.

Dean Holden’s Addicks finished 10th in League One, 15 points away from the top six.

They have already agreed new contracts with Terell Thomas and Michael Hector. And Holden has also bolstered his options by recruiting keeper Harry Isted and centre-back Lloyd Jones.

Charlton’s first pre-season friendly saw them beat National League South side Welling 4-0.
