Charlton Athletic ‘agree’ deal for Nottingham Forest midfielder Harry Arter
Charlton Athletic have reportedly agreed to sign Nottingham Forest midfielder Harry Arter.
The Addicks are in the market to boost their midfield options and want to add experience to help guide and help younger recruits George Dobson and Sean Clare.
Football Insider are claiming that Charlton are set to sign the 31-year-old on a season-long loan from Nottingham Forest.
Arter has not featured for the Championship side this season. He started off as a youngster on Charlton’s books. He only made one senior appearance for the Addicks – in the EFL Cup at Luton Town in September 2007.
Arter won two promotions with AFC Bournemouth, from League One and the Championship – scoring 29 goals in 255 appearances. He has also had spells with Fulham and Cardiff City.
Charlton signed Luton Town attacking midfielder Elliot Lee – the son of their former midfielder Robert – on loan from Luton Town earlier this week.
Arter’s arrival would take the Addicks up to three loan signings with Akin Famewo also on a temporary deal from Norwich City.
EFL clubs can have up to five loan signings in a matchday squad.
