Charlton Athletic boss outlines selection plan for EFL Trophy tie against Milton Keynes
Johnnie Jackson is set to give some of Charlton Athletic’s fringe players the opportunity to impress in tomorrow’s EFL Trophy tie against Milton Keynes.
The Addicks follow up that fixture with Norwich City at The Valley in the FA Cup third round.
And Jackson has confirmed that he will make changes for the visit of MK to SE7.
“It’s a game that I want to win,” said the Charlton Athletic manager. “It’s an opportunity to give people a game that haven’t been playing – I’ve got lots of those players who find themselves on the bench or out of the squad.
“It is an opportunity for those guys. I think I could make 11 changes and still have a strong team – I’m not saying that is what I’m going to do. But it will certainly be an opportunity for some of the players who have been on the fringes to have an impact.
“I still want to have a strong team and progress.”
