Charlton Athletic line up deadline day deal for Harrogate Town defender Ramsay
Charlton Athletic have agreed a fee for Harrogate Town right-sided defender Kayne Ramsay.
The South London Press understands that the 23-year-old is heading down for his medical.
Ramsay started as a youngster on Chelsea’s books before joining Southampton and made his Premier League debut at the age of 18.
Ramsay had loans at Shrewsbury Town, Crewe and Ross County before completing a permanent switch to Harrogate in August 2022.
Ramsay has made 30 appearances in all competitions for the League Two club – collecting five assists.
He had three months out in the second half of last season after fracturing his eye socket, cheekbone and jaw in a 1-0 win at Carlisle United in February.
Ramsay required facial surgery and made his return in Harrogate’s penultimate fixture of the 2022-23 campaign.
A dedicated full-back is just what we need right now.
