Charlton Athletic loanee Sessegnon released by Fulham

Fulham have announced their list of player departures, with Charlton Athletic loanee Steven Sessegnon one of those to be moving on.

The 23-year-old full-back spent the last campaign with the Addicks.

Sessegnon had to manage a knee issue but still made 38 appearances in all competitions, 33 of those in League One.

He came through the Fulham academy ranks with his twin Ryan, who was sold to Tottenham for £25million in 2019.

Sessegnon struggled to hold down a starting spot with the Whites and also had loan spells with Bristol City and Plymouth Argyle.

He scored his first professional goal in spectacular fashion for Charlton, in a 1-1 draw against Accrington in March. It won the club’s Goal of the Season award.

Fulham have also confirmed the exits of Joe Bryan and Shane Duffy, the latter already joining Norwich City.

The west Londoners have offered new deals to Willian and Neeskens Kebano.
