Charlton Athletic match against Posh postponed after international call up for former Everton and Southampton defender
Charlton Athletic’s home game against Peterborough United next weekend has been called off after they received a third international call up.
At one stage it looked as if the fixture at The Valley would go ahead with the Addicks only have Kaheim Dixon and Karoy Anderson selected by Jamaica.
But now Thierry Small has been picked in England’s U20 squad.
Charlton do still have an EFL Trophy tie at home to Bromley on Tuesday evening but Nathan Jones’ side are already qualified for the next stage of the competition.
The South Londoners are 13th in the League One table after Saturday’s 1-0 defeat at Exeter.
Charlton are 17th in the form table for the last six matches – averaging a point per match.
Their next league fixture will be at Huddersfield Town on November 23.
