Charlton Athletic still keen on Bolton playmaker Erhun Oztumer

Charlton Athletic are still interested in a deal for Erhun Oztumer.
The Bolton Wanderers midfielder was a target for the Addicks at the end of the January transfer window but a move for the former Dulwich Hamlet playmaker fell through.
But the South London Press has been told that Charlton are still keen on Oztumer, but that they have other positions which are a priority to strengthen.
Oztumer has a year left to go on his Bolton Wanderers contract but the financial crisis there – the club are in administration and because he has not been paid he could hand in a 14-day notice and then leave for nothing.
Bowyer talked about missing out on Oztumer at the start of February. He told the South London Press: “I feel sorry for the lad. He was at the ground to sign the papers.
“Because there was no number nine available, we went for the best number 10 who scores goals.
“In the last couple of seasons he has scored 15 goals and got 10 assists in both of them.
“We had a back-up plan which all went pear-shaped. It was reliant on Bolton bringing in Ched Evans – who then scored against us at the weekend!
“The kid was gutted. We had it all lined up but it didn’t go our way.”
