Charlton Athletic striker looking set for January transfer window stay

Jayden Stockley looks set to stay at Charlton Athletic and battle to regain a starting spot.

The Addicks have been ready to listen to offers for the 29-year-old in the January transfer window.

And Stockley has attracted interest from League One, League Two and abroad. He still has 18 months to run on his contract.

The South London Press has been told that he is determined to knuckle down and try to move back up the striking pecking order.

Dean Holden has taken the captaincy off Stockley, who has not started since the 3-1 defeat at Oxford on December 29, and handed it to
George Dobson.

The former Preston and Exeter targetman has played just 13 minutes since and was an unused substitute against Barnsley.

Charlton have strengthened that area of their squad with the recent arrival of Macauley Bonne. Both Bonne and teenager Miles Leaburn appear preferred options to Stockley.
