Charlton Athletic v Hull City team news: Two Addicks changes but Jonny Williams misses out
BY LOUIS MENDEZ
Lee Bowyer makes two changes for this evening’s home game with Hull City – but Jonny Williams is not deemed ready to be involved from the bench.
It was hoped that the Welsh international, who has been side-lined with a knee injury since mid-October, would be fit enough to feature in the matchday squad but Charlton have not taken the risk.
Lyle Taylor starts on the bench once again as he continues his own return to fitness.
Albie Morgan comes in to make his third Championship start of the season, with Adam Matthews also returning to the starting eleven. Alfie Doughty was due to start but has pulled out due to illness this evening, which means Ben Purrington, who was originally due to be a substitute does start, with Chris Solly dropping to the bench.
The Addicks will now only name six substitutes.
Charlton: Phillips, Matthews, Lockyer, Pearce, Sarr, Purrington, Pratley, Gallagher, Morgan, Leko, Bonne. Subs: Maynard-Brewer, Solly, Oshilaja, Vennings, Taylor, Ledley.
