Charlton Athletic will find out round two opponents in EFL Trophy after this weekend’s draw

Charlton Athletic will find out their round two opponents in the EFL Trophy when the draw is made on Saturday.

The Addicks are already assured of qualification with tonight’s derby at Leyton Orient only to determine which club finishes top of Group O.

The draw will take place on Sky Sports after the station’s coverage of the League Two match between second-placed Port Vale and Bradford City, which is amidday kick off.  The draw will be hosted by David Prutton and conducted by former Newport County manager Michael Flynn, alongside Chris Birchall, who gained promotion with Port Vale in 2013.

Round two remains split regionally into a Northern and Southern section with group winners drawn at home against a runner-up from another group.

Aston Villa U21s will be in the hat for the next round in the Southern section with MK Dons also already buttoning down a spot.

The final group matches take place today and tomorrow with two clubs progressing to the last 32 from each group.

Round two ties will be played the week commencing 29 November.
