Charlton Athletic will have big travelling support for Nathan Jones’ maiden outing as manager
Charlton Athletic fans will turn out in force for Nathan Jones’ first match in charge after selling out their initial allocation for Saturday’s League One match at Reading.
The 50-year-old Welshman took training on Monday after being confirmed as the Addicks new manager on Sunday.
The Addicks have already sold out the 2,493 tickets they were allocated for this weekend’s fixture in Berkshire. The Roayls have released a further 436 seats.
Charlton have not won away since their 6-1 victory at Cray Valley PM in the FA Cup first round.
Their last league success on their travels came at Wigan Athletic on October 31 – a 3-2 success with Alfie May (two) and Corey Blackett-Taylor on target.
Nineteenth-placed Charlton are winless in 12 matches and two of the clubs directly below them – Port Vale and Reading – both play tonight.
