Charlton Athletic Women left deeply unhappy as FA sanction Kit Graham’s move to Tottenham

BY RICHARD CAWLEY

Charlton Athletic Women have expressed their disappointment that the FA have ratified Kit Graham’s move to Tottenham.

The striker, 23, has been hugely prolific during her time with the Addicks – scoring 16 goals in 19 matches last season.

Graham was also named FA Women’s Championship Players’ Player of the Year.

She scored 47 goals in 35 matches when the Addicks won promotion from the FAWPL Southern Division.

Charlton Athletic Women issued a statement on their website. It said: “The club is disappointed that the FA have agreed to register Kit Graham with another club while she remains under a contract of employment with Charlton Athletic Women.

“In the absence of any financial agreement to release her from her contract, we are considering what the appropriate course of action should be.”
