Charlton Athletic Women’s boss wins Premier League Manager of the Year award
Riteesh Mishra has been named The FA Women’s Premier League Manager of the Year at The FA Women’s Football Awards in London.
The Charlton Athletic boss has enjoyed a successful season – leading his side to victory in the FA Women’s Premier League Southern Division, losing just two fixtures all season. A strong end to the campaign saw Charlton concede just three goals in their last eight league fixtures, before going on to beat Blackburn Rovers 2-1 in play-offs to secure a Championship place.

Mishra said: “It finishes of what has been a fantastic four weeks for the team, it’s the icing on the cake really. For me it’s been easy managing the team, I’ve got brilliant players and staff and I have just been fortunate enough to lead them.”
The winner was announced at the 20th annual FA Women’s Football Awards yesterday.
The ceremony celebrates the very best of women’s football including grassroots, domestic and international football.
