Charlton Athletic youngster could be set for National League loan move

Ashley Maynard-Brewer will end his Dulwich Hamlet loan after this weekend’s match at Chippenham Town – with the young Charlton goalkeeper possibly set to sign a temporary deal with a National League club.
The 20-year-old Australian has featured 12 times for Hamlet and initially joined them on a 28-day loan on August 5.
Maynard-Brewer played in Saturday’s 6-0 thrashing of Bognor Regis Town in the FA Cup.
Dulwich manager Gavin Rose told the South London Press: “At the end of the 28 day loan we were in touch with Charlton and they said they were happy with his progress – he had played games – and they were happy to extend it.
“But we have got two capable goalkeepers in Preston Edwards and Charlie Grainger. Charlton probably want to see if they can get him a Conference club to keep his development going and we’ve got ones here who are working hard every day and are capable of filling his boots.
“I thank Ash – he has been great for us since the start of the season but it will be his last game on Saturday. I wish him all the best going forward.
“You never know, he may end up coming back to the club. But as it stands he has done really well and I wish him all the best for his future.”
