Charlton boss Lee Bowyer on Lyle Taylor thigh injury during Swansea defeat – “It doesn’t look good”

Lyle Taylor is set to become the fifteenth Charlton player out after suffering a thigh injury during the defeat at Swansea City.
The striker, who had already been side-lined for a three-month spell with a knee problem earlier in the campaign, was withdrawn at half-time in south Wales – and boss Lee Bowyer revealed his star man will need to go for a scan to assess the extent of his knock.
“His thigh tightened up,” explained the Charlton chief.
“We’ll have to see how he is. Obviously, he’ll have to go for a scan in the next couple of days but it doesn’t look good. That’s why I didn’t play him the other day, this is the risk that you have.
“Hopefully it’s not too bad and he’s back for the next league game. That’s the most important thing. It’s too early to say yet.”
The Addicks boss also updated supporters on the extent of the hamstring problem that fellow striker Macauley Bonne picked up during the loss at Derby three days ago.
“He’s had a scan,” Bowyer said.
“To be honest I’ve just concentrated on [Swansea]. I know he’s not going to be back for a few weeks. If you’ve done a hamstring, you’re out for a few weeks. That’s where we’re at with Macca. I will find out but I was concentrating on [Swansea] and trying to get us three points.”

This is now rediculous if it wasn’t already. There must be something going wrong with their training, either that or this football club is cursed
