Charlton-Bristol Rovers set for further pitch inspection on Saturday morning
Charlton Athletic’s home game against Bristol Rovers will be the subject of a pitch inspection tomorrow morning.
AFC Wimbledon postponed their League Two fixture against Stevenage earlier today with Luton-Millwall, due to take place on Sunday, also being wiped out.
The Addicks appeared confident they would be able to get their clash with the Gas on earlier in the week but have provided an update.
“Saturday’s Sky Bet League One fixture against Bristol Rovers is set to go ahead as planned,” said Charlton in a statement on their official website.
“The Valley’s playing surface was inspected by an FA referee at 4.30pm on Friday afternoon.

“With temperatures set to fall below zero on Friday night, a second pitch inspection will take place in SE7 on Saturday morning.
“The club will update supporters with the result of Saturday morning’s inspection once it has taken place.”
Charlton also saw the previous weekend’s match at Morecambe come a cropper due to the icy weather.
Two of their three matches have been postponed since the dismissal of manager Ben Garner. Their only action since saw them dumped out of the FA Cup by Stockport County.
The Addicks host Brighton in the EFL Cup on Wednesday night.
