Charlton captain Dobson has overseas club keen on a deal

Charlton Athletic midfielder George Dobson is the subject of overseas interest.

The South London Press understands that a club in Eastern Europe, thought to be Hungarian, is keen on the 26-year-old.

Dobson is in the final six months of his contract and is free to negotiate with clubs abroad.

Charlton have made two offers of fresh terms to the former Sunderland player, who signed after the Black Cats terminated his contract in July 2021.

Dobson has been an ever-present starter in League One for Charlton and made 127 appearances in total for them.

The Addicks have added to their options in the middle of the park after snapping up Conor Coventry from West Ham United on undisclosed terms last week as well as loan deals for Tyreeq Bakinson and Lewis Fiorini from Sheffield Wednesday and Manchester City respectively.

Charlton have rejected two bids for Corey Blackett-Taylor who, like Dobson, is out of contract at the end of June. Derby initially bid ÂŁ200,000 for the winger and then returned last week with an improved ÂŁ250,000.
