Charlton confirm pre-season friendly against side managed by former Millwall boss

Charlton Athletic will take on Gillingham – managed by former Millwall boss Neil Harris – in a pre-season friendly ahead of the 2023-24 season.

Dean Holden’s side have already confirmed fixtures against Welling United, Dartford, Leyton Orient and Aberdeen.

The Addicks will head to Priestfield on Tuesday, July 18th, with kick-off at 19:30pm.

Gillingham finished 17th in League Two, with former Millwall defender Shaun Williams and Wimbledon defender Cheye Alexander with the Kent-based side.

Harris, 45, has been in charge of Gillingham for 76 games, winning 26 and losing 29.

Charlton’s confirmed 2023-24 pre-season friendlies:

Saturday, July 1st: Welling United v Charlton (15:00pm KO BST), Park View Road

Saturday, July 8th: Dartford v Charlton (15:00pm KO BST), Princes Park

Friday, July 14th: Charlton v Leyton Orient (10am KO BST), Marbella Football Center

Tuesday, July 18th: Gillingham v Charlton (19:30pm KO BST), Priestfield Stadium

Saturday, July 29th: Charlton v Aberdeen (13:00pm KO BST), The Valley
