Charlton defender nominated for League One award
Charlton defender Lloyd Jones has been nominated for the League One Player of the Month award.
Jones penned a new deal last month at The Valley and kept three clean sheets in the third tier as the Addicks only suffered one defeat in January.
Charlton did not concede a goal against Reading, Shrewsbury and Bristol Rovers last month, with Jones playing a crucial role in every game.
He also netted in the 2-1 win at Bolton.
Jones is up against Tom Bloxham, who started January with Shrewsbury before moving to Blackpool during the transfer window.
Burton Albion’s Rumarn Burrell, who scored five goals in six games, and Leyton Orient’s Jamie Donley are also nominated.
The judging panel for the Sky Bet Player of the Month comprises Sky Sports’ EFL expert Don Goodman, EFL Chief Executive Trevor Birch and Sky Bet EFL trader Ivor Davies.
The winner will be announced on Friday.
