Charlton midfielder makes League Two loan switch – with January recall clause added

Charlton Athletic midfielder Aaron Henry has joined League Two side Crawley Town on a season-long loan.

The 19-year-old made 14 appearances last season for the Addicks.

Henry has also had a loan spell at Wealdstone during his career, making 20 appearances and scoring his first senior goal at The Vale.

Charlton have the option to recall Henry in January.

Manager Dean Holden said: “Aaron is an excellent young player with a bright future ahead of him, which is why we were so pleased he signed a new contract with us this summer.

“He’s had a successful National League loan at Wealdstone and had some good games for our men’s first-team last season. The next step in his development is playing regular football in the EFL and this opportunity at Crawley Town will give him valuable games and experiences to help his continual improvement.”
