Charlton owner Thomas Sandgaard: We’ll re-sign some of our out-of-contract players

Thomas Sandgaard is fully confident that some of Charlton’s out-of-contract players will re-sign this summer.

The Addicks owner dispensed of the services of manager Johnnie Jackson and first-team coach Terry Skiverton yesterday.

The League One club have a number of players who are free agents later this summer – Ryan Inniss, Conor Washington, Jake Forster-Caskey, Adam Matthews and Ben Purrington.

Asked how Jackson’s departure could change their situations, Sandgaard told the South London Press: “Oh, it changes absolutely nothing.

“We already have all those things in progress. Totally nothing changes, the dialogue is the same. We already have those discussions and nothing changes.

“Those names you just mentioned there, I’m actually very confident we will see some of those names – not all of them – next season.”
