Charlton set for winger boost as Diallang Jaiyesimi trains ahead of Hull City match
Diallang Jaiyesimi could be back in Charlton’s squad for tomorrow’s home game against Hull City.
The Addicks are looking to win their final fixture of the regulation League One season to leapfrog Portsmouth and Oxford to finish in sixth place and qualify for the play-offs.
Jaiyesimi has been missing in recent matches with a hamstring injury.
Charlton manager Nigel Adkins said: “I’ve really liked him. I’ve seen that he is coachable and takes things on very, very quickly.
“I’ve been really impressed with him. It was a blow that he wasn’t available for a couple of games but the lads who have played in that position have been exceptional.
“It will be great if he can get involved somehow for the final game and the three play-off games, if they come about.
“He has trained with us today, although very lightly, if he does comes through that then he is still a little way ahead of schedule and that is down to his application and also the excellent medical staff who are providing the care and attention to get him into that position.
“What’s in our hands is trying to win a game of football. Control the controllables – win a game of football and see where it takes us from there.”
