Charlton youngster makes National League loan

Charlton midfielder Aaron Henry has completed a season-long loan move to National League side Rochdale.

The 20-year-old, who spent the second half of last season with Wealdstone in the fifth tier, initially joined League Two play-off winners Crawley at the start of the campaign.

Henry has 28 Charlton first-team appearances to his name.

Rochdale finished 11th in the National League last season.

The Addicks will have the ability to recall Henry in January.

He told Rochdale’s website: “I’ve spoken to the manager a couple of times and a few boys that have worked with him.

“It was a no-brainer really to come here, get another good year in this league and hopefully have a good season.

“I think it will be a perfect fit for me. I like to be in a team that plays the right way, the way I think it should be played, and I think the manager shares that view.”
