‘Completely convinced’ – Oliver Glasner has no worries over Crystal Palace squad after winless Premier League start

Oliver Glasner has no worries about his Crystal Palace squad despite their winless start to the 2024-25 season.

The Eagles have picked up three points this season, drawing with Chelsea, Leicester and Manchester United.

But Palace have also handed Everton, Brentford and West Ham their first wins of the season in their first six games.

“I’m worried about other things in the world but not about the squad,” said Glasner.

“I’m completely convinced in the team’s talent, quality and character.

“We have to make some adjustments – this is a part of being a manager.

“It’s always the same when players leave and new players come in – it’s about finding the right set-up.

“I know the players really well now and we’re talking a lot. There is a big togetherness here in the club. Not just between the players and the staff but the whole club.”

Glasner’s side face table-toppers Liverpool at Selhurst Park for the early kick-off and will be looking to bounce back following last week’s 2-1 defeat at Everton.

He said: “There is a big effort to get back to winning. This is why I’m really not worried. Maybe I’m not as smiling as much. I’m not happy – we’re all not with the start we had.

“We see that it’s not as fluid, now it’s more work. Sometimes it’s enjoyment and sometimes it’s work.

“At the moment, it’s work, but what gives me confidence and trust is that everybody is working hard.

“I see the players – they want to get the win. Sometimes if you’re too tight, you’re not creative or easygoing.

“We know we have to improve, but we also need to stay calm and relaxed. We have prepared really well for the Liverpool game.”
