Could Coronavirus guidelines affect Roy Hodgson being at Crystal Palace games? Boss gives his reaction

BY SAM SMITH

Roy Hodgson has said that he will have to wait and see if government guidelines on the Coronavirus will see him banned from being present at Crystal Palace matches.

Discussions between the Premier League and government ministers have taken place over limiting the spread of the disease, including banning over 70s from attending matches.

Hodgson, who is 72, said: “I will wait and see in that respect. I presume that is to protect us, I have read people who are older are most at risk.

“But certainly I feel healthy and perhaps more so than the average guy. But we are doing our level best to respect the guidelines.

“We have disinfected everything and we have hand wash and players are no longer shaking hands or hugging each other.

“Whatever decisions are made, we have to abide by. I will worry about it when the time comes, and I have never felt happier or healthier.”
