Crystal Palace and Aston Villa both hit with FA charges

Crystal Palace and Aston Villa have been charged by the FA after two separate incidents occurred in the Eagles’ 2-1 defeat at Selhurst Park last weekend.
Palace have been charged with two breaches of FA rule E20.1. Villa have been charged with one breach of the same rule.
In the 54th minute, Villa midfielder Marvelous Nakamba’s late lunge on Wilfried Zaha left the Palace players fuming and they crowded around referee Michael Salisbury. Nakamba was booked.
Just a minute later, Aston Villa broke forward and Palace captain Luka Milivojevic cut down Ollie Watkins as the striker ran through on goal.
Once again, the referee was surrounded and bumped into by players from both sides. The Palace skipper was eventually booked for the foul.
The FA’s statement said: “Both Crystal Palace FC and Aston Villa FC have been charged by The FA following their Premier League game on Saturday [27/11/21].
“Crystal Palace FC have been charged with two breaches of FA Rule E20.1 as it allegedly failed to ensure that it’s players conducted themselves in an orderly fashion during both the 54th minute and 55th minutes of the game.
