Crystal Palace boss delivers injury news ahead of Leicester clash – New signing ruled out and Chadi Riad update provided

Oliver Glasner had ruled new Crystal Palace signing Trevoh Chalobah out of tomorrow’s Premier League clash at home to Leicester.

The 25-year-old joined on a season-long loan from Chelsea but did not feature in the behind-closed-doors friendly win over League One side Reading during the international break.

Deadline day arrivals Eddie Nketiah and Maxence Lacroix could both be in line for their debuts.

When asked about Chalobah, Glasner said: “He injured his abdominal muscle in his first session with us – it’s a really strange injury.

“He’s also not available tomorrow. It won’t take very long. He’s questionable for QPR and Man United as well.”

The Palace boss also confirmed that defender Chadi Riad could be out for up to four months with the ACL injury he suffered against Norwich.

Riad: “The doctor tells us it will take 8-12 weeks, so it will take a bit of time. We all thought it was worse at the beginning, but the ACL is not ruptured and that’s important.

“It will take several weeks.”
