Crystal Palace confirm Roy Hodgson return against Fulham

Crystal Palace have confirmed that Roy Hodgson will return to the dugout this weekend against Fulham after missing last Saturday’s clash at Aston Villa due to falling unwell.

The club confirmed that the 76-year-old took training on Tuesday morning and will lead his side out against his former club on Saturday afternoon at Selhurst Park.

Palace suffered a 3-1 defeat at Villa Park, with Paddy McCarthy taking charge of the game and Ray Lewington assistant the former defender.

The Eagles opened the scoring via Odsonne Edouard but three late goals from Villa gave them all three points.

Croydon-born Hodgson managed Fulham 129 times and took the west Londoners to the Europa League final in 2010, where they suffered a 2-1 defeat to Atletico Madrid.

Fulham are 10th in the Premier League. Palace have slipped down to ninth after their defeat on Saturday.
