Crystal Palace duo Eze and Olise set to miss Tottenham Hotspur clash

Crystal Palace are still set to be without Michael Olise and Eberechi Eze for tomorrow night’s Premier League clash against Tottenham Hotspur.

The creative duo, who are yet to play alongside each this season, are back out on the grass but had not taken part in first-team training in the first half of this week.

Olise suffered a setback in September in his return from hamstring surgery, which was required following a grade three tear he picked up on international duty with France’s U21 side at the end of last season.

The former Reading attacker, who recorded six assists under former England boss Roy Hodgson in the final 10 games of last season, has missed the entire campaign.

Greenwich-born Eze is also stepping up his return from a hamstring injury he picked up following the 1-0 win at Manchester United – but tomorrow’s match against the Premier League leaders has come too soon.

The Eagles will be looking to bounce back from their heavy 4-0 defeat at Newcastle United last Saturday.

Spurs are two points clear of second-placed Manchester City and Ange Postecoglou has set a new Premier League record for the most points earned by a manager in their first nine games in charge.

Tottenham beat Fulham 2-0 on Monday and had the luxury of being able to take off Son Heung-min and James Maddison in the closing stages, handing the influential attacking duo a bit more rest time before facing Palace.

Matheus Franca, who made his Premier League debut in the defeat at St James’ Park, coming on for the final 20 minutes, scored in the 3-1 Premier League International Cup win over Monaco on Tuesday night.

Palace chairman Steve Parish and Hodgson were both in attendance at Gander Green Lane.

Nathan Ferguson completed his first 90 minutes of the season, with David Ozoh, Ademola Ola-Adebomi, Malcolm Ebiowei, Tayo Adaramola and Naouirou Ahamada all featuring for Darren Powell’s side.
