Crystal Palace expecting to be without key defender for Spurs clash

Crystal Palace are not expecting to have Marc Guehi available for Saturday’s Premier League clash at Tottenham Hotspur, the South London Press understands.

But Eberechi Eze is set to be introduced back into the matchday fold for the first time under Oliver Glasner after returning to training last week.

Guehi has been missing since suffering a hyper-extended knee injury in the 4-1 defeat at Brighton at the start of February.

The 23-year-old has made 108 appearances for the Eagles since signing from Chelsea in 2021.

Glasner, who got off to a winning start at Palace on Saturday after beating relegation-threatened Burnley 3-0 at Selhurst Park, went to watch Spurs before being appointed as Roy Hodgson’s replacement.

Greenwich-born attacker Eze is returning from a hamstring injury he suffered against Sheffield United.

Palace trained on Sunday after beating Vincent Kompany’s side but had Monday off.

Chris Richards, Joachim Andersen and Joel Ward started Glasner’s first game as a back three, with Daniel Munoz and Tyrick Mitchell playing as wing-backs.
