Crystal Palace ‘growing in confidence’ that Wilfried Zaha will sign bumper new deal

Crystal Palace are reportedly growing in confidence that Wilfried Zaha will sign a new contract.

The 30-year-old attacker is out of contract and currently recovering from a hamstring injury which means he is unlikely to be fit until after the Premier League campaign starts.

Zaha has been linked with a number of clubs across Europe, including Lazio and Fenerbahce. Predictably there has also been Saudi interest in the Ivory Coast international.

But The Telegraph claim that Zaha is now looking likely to extend his stay with Palace on a deal worth around £200,000 a week.

It would mean that aside from a short spell as a Manchester United player, where he also went on a season-long loan to Cardiff, the Eagles academy product has spent nearly his entire career with the SE25 outfit.

Zaha has scored 68 goals and claimed 29 assists in 305 Premier League appearances.
