Crystal Palace injury boost as winger set to return to full training

Crystal Palace winger Jesurun Rak-Sakyi is set to return to full training following a hamstring injury he picked up in November.

The South London Press understands Rak-Sakyi could be in contention to return to Roy Hodgson’s matchday squad for the Premier League clash at Arsenal on January 20.

Rak-Sakyi, 21, suffered a grade two hamstring tear which has kept him out since the 2-0 win at Burnley on November 4.

The Southwark-born forward has made eight appearances under Roy Hodgson in all competitions.

He played a significant role in the goalless draw at home to Nottingham Forest in October, coming off the bench in the first half and helping Palace secure a point before succumbing to injury in training.

Rak-Sakyi spent last season on loan at Charlton Athletic in League One, scoring 15 goals and grabbing nine assists.
