Crystal Palace injury news ahead of West Ham – Oliver Glasner confirms two players near transfer exit door

Oliver Glasner has confirmed that Jordan Ayew and Joachim Andersen are in final negotiations over moves away from Crystal Palace.

Our paper revealed yesterday that the Eagles had agreed an £8million fee with the Foxes for Ayew, who underwent a medical with Steve Cooper’s side on Thursday afternoon.

Andersen has also completed his medical with the west Londoners ahead of completing a switch back to Craven Cottage.

“Joachim won’t be available,” said Glasner for the home clash against Julen Lopetegui’s side.

“He’s in final negotiations [with Fulham]. The same with Jordan Ayew [and Leicetser].”

The Eagles boss also revealed that Will Hughes is a doubt for the game against the Hammers due to sickness.

“Will Hughes got sick yesterday evening. He was here today but he stopped training after 20 minutes.

“Now we have to wait to see what will happen in the afternoon and especially tonight.

“All the others trained the whole week, and they are ready for tomorrow.”

Glasner also confirmed that Newcastle United target Marc Guehi will captain the Eagles tomorrow.

When asked if he would still be a Palace player at the end of the window, Glasner said: “I expect everyone to be a Crystal Palace player until someone tells me something different.

“In the end, it’s always their [the players] decision. I expect everyone here. We now have 18 outfield players available.

“We have just Franca injured. We know if we lose one or two players, that we also have to replace them.

“We need a competitive squad over 37 Premier League games. This is the job we have to do within the next week.”
