Crystal Palace legend Julian Speroni not able to supply answers over contract situation

Out-of-contract Crystal Palace legend Julian Speroni has refused to comment on a potential new deal.
The Argentine goalkeeper is set to end his 14-year stay at Selhurst Park this summer.
Speroni said: “I can’t tell you anything about it (a new contract). I don’t know yet.
“We need to take a few weeks to enjoy it first! I’m sure the people in charge will then sort things out and they will start planning for next season.
“It’s time to reflect a little bit and switch off, recharge the batteries, because it’s going to be a tough season.”
The Eagles began the campaign having lost their first seven matches without scoring but a 2-0 victory against West Brom on the final day secured an 11th-place finish – and Speroni has pointed towards the squad’s togetherness as a reason for the upturn in form.
“[Finishing 11th] is a great achievement, it’s really good. The togetherness of the team helped us pull out of the situation we were in at the beginning of the season and finish in a great position. [Roy Hodgson has done] an amazing job. As have all the lads, pulling together as a team.”
