Crystal Palace manager happy to let experienced midfielder – linked with Huddersfield Town – to leave in January transfer window

BY MATT WOOSNAM

Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson is open to allowing Jason Puncheon leave in this month’s transfer window.

The 32-year-old, out of contract in the summer, has been linked with a switch to Premier League basement outfit Huddersfield Town.

Hodgson said: “I don’t know where the clubs are.

“Jason Puncheon is keen to get regular first team football. I have told him because I haven’t been able to give him that, I won’t stand in his way if they reach an agreement. Doug Freedman and Steve Parish don’t tend to bother me with issues on a match day.”
