Crystal Palace midfielder picks up Player of the Season Award 

Crystal Palace midfielder Cheick Doucoure has been voted Player of the Season by the fans.

The 23-year-old joined the Eagles in the summer on a five-year deal from French side Lens in a deal worth in tn the region of £21million.

In his debut campaign at Selhurst Park, Doucoure has made 34 appearances, assisted three goals and completed more tackles and interceptions than any other Palace player.

Doucoure picked up 25.2 per cent of the vote, with Marc Guehi finishing runner-up with 21.8 per cent and Michael Olise grabbing 19.2 per cent.

Roy Hodgson presented Doucoure with his trophy at the club’s End of Season Awards night at Clapham Grand.

The Eagles take on Nottingham Forest in the final game of the Premier League season on Sunday.
