Crystal Palace pushing to complete deal for Lazio midfielder Kamada

Crystal Palace are set to land Lazio attacking midfielder Daichi Kamada.

The 27-year-old Japanese international moved to his current Serie A club in August 2023 from Eintracht Frankfurt, where he worked with Eagles boss Oliver Glasner.

Palace have also been linked with Jobe Bellingham. The Sunderland prospect, the younger brother of Real Madrid superstar Jude, is a player that the South Londoners hold an interest in but nothing is at an advanced stage.

Kamada was a free agent after leaving Eintracht and had been linked with Milan, Inter, Napoli and Roma before signing for Lazio.

There had been reports in Italy that he was close to signing a contract extension with the Rome outfit.

But the South London Press understands that Palace are now in pole position to make Kamada one of their early incomings in the summer transfer window.

Kamada won the Europa League in 2022 with Eintracht – under the guidance of Glasner.

He scored two goals in 38 appearances last season for Lazio, seven of those in the Champions League.
