Crystal Palace reportedly in talks with former Dortmund boss Lucien Favre

Crystal Palace are reportedly planning to hold talks with Swiss manager Lucien Favre.

The South London club have been looking for a new manager after Roy Hodgson stepped down after four years in charge at Selhurst Park at the end of the last Premier League season.

The Eagles were in advanced talks with Nuno Espírito Santo but pulled out due to concerns over his demands.

The Sun are reporting that Palace chairman Steve Parish has widened the search for a Hodgson replacement to the former Borussia Dortmund boss and that the 63-year-old is keen to come to the Premier League.

Favre is a free agent, so he would not cost any compensation and would bring a small backroom staff with him.

The paper also claims that Crystal Palace have ended interest in Steve Cooper, Valerian Ismael and Frank Lampard.
