Crystal Palace schedule international break friendly against Premier League rivals

Crystal Palace have pencilled in a friendly during the international break against Premier League rivals Ipswich Town on Wednesday, the South London Press understands.

The Eagles are winless in their first Premier League games of the season but have progressed through to the last 16 of the EFL Cup.

Ipswich are also without a win this season after winning promotion from the Championship last season, but they have picked up one more point than Oliver Glasner’s side and are one place above them in the table in 17th.

Palace played League One side Reading during the last international break, with Eddie Nketiah getting on the scoresheet in a 3-0 win.

Glasner will be without Dean Henderson, Jefferson Lerma, Marc Guehi and Daichi Kamada through being called up to their respective national teams.
