Crystal Palace suffer blow with defender ruled out for up to two months following surgery

Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi is expected to be out for up to two months after having knee surgery.

The 23-year-old had the operation on Tuesday morning after suffering a hyper-extended knee injury in the 4-1 defeat against Brighton at the start of February.

Ex-Chelsea defender Guehi will miss England’s upcoming games in March against Brazil and Belgium.

Guehi watched on alongside Eberechi Eze from the stands at Selhurst Park as Oliver Glasner claimed a debut 3-0 win over Burnley.

The former Swansea loanee will enter the final two years of his deal with the South Londoners in the summer.

Chris Richards, Joel Ward and Joachim Andersen have started the last two Premier League outings alongside each other in defence.

Michael Olise, Jesurun Rak-Sakyi and Jairo Riedewald are all sidelined for the Eagles.
