Crystal Palace suffer injury blow – with versatile attacker ruled out until March

Jeffrey Schlupp is reportedly set to be missing for up to three months with the hamstring injury sustained in Crystal Palace’s 2-0 win over Sheffield United.

One national newspaper has reported that the problem is more serious than first feared.

Eagles manager Roy Hodgson had said last weekend that he expected the former Leicester City man to be sidelined for at least a month. But it looks as if Schlupp could be ruled out until March.

The 28-year-old netted his second goal of the campaign on Saturday, opening the scoring against the Blades.

Schlupp has started 12 of Palace’s 15 Premier League fixtures and is a versatile option as he can play right across the park.
