Crystal Palace trio set to be included in provisional England 2022 Qatar World Cup squad

Marc Guehi, Tyrick Mitchell and Eberechi Eze are set to be included in Gareth Southgate’s 55-man provisional England squad ahead of the 2022 Qatar World Cup, according to the Daily Mail.

The Three Lions have been drawn in Group B alongside Iran, USA and Wales.

This will be the first England squad that Greenwich-born Eze has been included in. 

Former QPR man Eze was due to be named in the provisional squad for of Euro 2020, but suffered a serious achilles injury ahead of the tournament and was ruled out for up to 

The 24-year-old has scored two goals and two assists this season under Patrick Vieira and has started every game in the Premier League.

Tyrick Mitchell made his England debut in the 2-1 win over Switzerland in March 2022, which he followed up by earning his first start in the 3-0 win over Ivory Coast. However, the Palace left-back has yet to be included in the past three squads.

Former England U21 captain Marc Guehi also made his debut in the win over Switzerland. The 22-year-old defender has been included in the previous two squads since his debut and earnt caps against Italy and Hungary in the Nations League.

Southgate will be forced to cut the squad down to just 26 names for the tournament.
