Crystal Palace turn down club record £70million fee for Marc Guehi from Tottenham

Crystal Palace have rejected a club record £70million from Tottenham Hotspur for defender Marc Guehi.

The north Londoners have had a long-standing interest in the England centre-back, who is entering the final 18 months of his deal at Selhurst Park.

Palace do not want to lose Guehi at this stage of the window despite the bid from Spurs surpassing the record fee they landed for Michael Olise from Bayern Munich in the summer.

Guehi, 24, has been captain under Oliver Glasner and played 23 times in the Premier League this season.

The Eagles are set to land Ben Chilwell on loan from Chelsea for the rest of the season, with the ex-Leiecster defender undergoing a medical.
