Crystal Palace v Chelsea starting line-ups: Franca makes first Premier League start

Matheus Franca and Adam Wharton have been handed their first Premier League starts by Roy Hodgson this evening for Crystal Palace against Chelsea.

The Eagles suffered a heavy 4-1 defeat at Brighton last time out and are without Michael Olise, Eberechi Eze and Marc Guehi for tonight’s Monday night kick-off.

Wharton came on as a first-half substitute in the defeat at The Amex after Guehi suffered a hyper-extended knee injury.

Chris Richards is playing alongside Joachim Andersen at the back.

Daniel Munoz is also making his home debut for the South Londoners.

Jean-Philippe Mateta leads the line tonight, with Jordan Ayew and Franca alongside him.

PALACE: Henderson, Munoz, Andersen, Richards, Mitchell, Lerma, Wharton, Hughes, Ayew, Mateta, Franca.

Subs: Johnstone, Ward, Tomkins, Clyne, Edouard, Ahamada, Riedewald, Ozoh.

Subs: Bergstrom, Chalobah, Gilchrist, Colwill, Casadei, Chukwuemeka, Sterling, Mudryk, Nkunku.
