Crystal Palace willing to listen to offers for former Celtic striker
Crystal Palace are willing to listen to offers for striker Odsonne Edouard this summer.
The South London Press understands the Eagles value the Frenchman at around £20million and will be looking to bring another forward in to help supplement Oliver Glasner’s squad.
Palace splashed an initial £14m on Edouard in September 2021 from Celtic, with the ex-PSG youngster signing a four-year deal at Selhurst Park.
Edouard netted 88 goals in 179 appearances for Celtic, winning 11 trophies during his time in Glasgow.
The 26-year-old has featured 101 times for Palace and netted 21 times, but he found his place in the starting line-up limited under former Wolfsburg boss Glasner due to Jean-Philippe Mateta establishing himself as the clear first choice stiker.
Mateta scored 13 goals in 13 games under Glasner, with Edouard only starting once – the 3-0 win over Burnley – after he replaced Roy Hodgson.
Ex-Mainz forward Mateta could potentially be away for the start of the Premier League season after he was named as one of three overage players in Thierry Henry’s France Olympic squad.
Edouard scored seven Premier League goals last season.
